PROJECT SAVE

Emergencies in schools must be addressed in an expeditious and effective manner. Schools are at risk of acts of violence, natural, and manmade disasters. To address these threats, the State of New York has enacted the Safe Schools Against Violence in Education (SAVE) law. Project SAVE is a comprehensive planning effort that addresses prevention, response and recovery with respect to a variety of emergencies in schools.​

Truxton Academy Charter School's 2025-2026 Proposed SAVE Plan was presented and approved at the Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees held July 7, 2025. The plan was posted for 30 days for review and comments were welcomed at a Public Hearing held on August 18, 2025. Hearing no comments or objections, Truxton Academy Charter School's 2025-2026 SAVE Plan was adopted at the Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees on August 18, 2025.
