i-Ready Classroom Mathematics (Grades K-6) is a comprehensive core mathematics program that makes math accessible to all students. Everything works together to support teachers and empower students to connect to mathematics in new ways. The program includes:

  • An instructional design that allows students to take ownership of their learning

  • Rigorous practice opportunities that build students’ conceptual understanding and procedural fluency

  • In-depth reports that enable instructional decisions so teachers can help students reach their greatest potential

  • A wide range of accessibility features to maximize usability for all students

Grade Level Skills Checklists

Truxton Academy Essential or Power Standards: These standards focus on the highest leverage skills that students need to be prepared for the next grade level.  Students still need additional instruction in other areas that are not addressed by the Essential or Power Standards. Our teaching team understands the expectation to devote more time to the Essential or Power Standards, while still addressing all of the standards in their grade level curriculum.

Below is a collection of grade-level checklists that parents and families can use to understand how prepared their child is for his/her grade level.

Has your child mastered everything on his/her grade's checklist? Then look at the following grade and challenge him/her!

Does your child struggle with the skills on his/her grade's checklist? Then look at the Parent and Family Resources page to gather ideas of how to support his/her learning and eventual mastery of these skills!

Parent and Family Math Resources:

  • iReady Classroom Mathematics: Family Center

Our schools has begun using Ready Classroom Mathematics and i-Ready as their core math curriculum (Grades K-6).  This is a great collection of resources for families to get involved in the math learning experience of their children.  There are helpful documents, videos, FAQ documents and even math discussion activities that you can do with your children at home.

  • Khan Academy - Khan Academy is a great FREE resource.  Students and parents can sign up for accounts and gain access to instructional videos, practice problems and quizzes.  Participants are provided with instant feedback on the work they complete.  This is a great resource to consider if your child is struggling with any of the skills on their grade level check-list.
